New Issue: Witch Trials (Jersey)
I try to review all of the new issues from Royal Mail, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands but it seems this is one I missed. Four weeks ago Jersey issued a set commemorating the island's historic witch trials and somehow it escaped my notice. However, it's still quite a new issue and I don't think anyone will mind too much if my review is a bit late. There haven't been too many stamp issues about witch trials. The only ones I can find are a 50c stamp from Grenada in 2000

Sark to issue first stamps
Sark is to issue its first ever official postage stamps in the next few days. While the Isle of Sark Shipping Company issued unofficial stamps in the 1980s, these were carriage labels and not valid for postage. Since 1969, the island has used Guernsey postage stamps for its mail. Sark is finally following in the footsteps of is neighbours Guernsey, Jersey and Alderney in having its own stamps*. It is a really important milestone and I am very pleased to be reviewing its first

New Issue: Shipbuilding (Jersey)
The latest issue from Jersey Post tells the story of the History of Shipbuilding on Jersey and was released on 15th August. I am quite interested in ships and shipbuilding, and know about some of the large British shipyards in places like Glasgow, Sunderland, Liverpool, Barrow-in-Furness, Bristol and Plymouth. I hadn't realised that Jersey was such a significant shipbuilding centre. The Jersey Post website explains: "During the 19th century, Jersey was a central hub for sh
