New Issues: Centenary of the birth of Queen Elizabeth II
On 21st April 1926, a baby was born. Her parents were the Duke and Duchess of York. No-one at the time expected that the Duke of York would become king, and definitely wouldn't have imagined that the baby would become the longest-reigning queen in world history. Queen Elizabeth II died in September 2022 and there were several stamps issued to celebrate her life and reign. New Issue: Passenger Vessels (Jersey)
Here's another review and it's another one about ships. Ships on stamps must be like buses - you wait aged for one then two come along at once. This set is from Jersey and will be issued tomorrow. The stamps show passenger vessels that "delve into the vast array of vessels utilised by Jersey in recent history". They are based on illustrations by Martin Mörck. New Issue: Jersey's Pollinators - Bees (Jersey)
Jersey has issued this absolutely remarkable set today showing bees. Xanthe asked if I want to review this because I am into nature and really like bees. I also really like these stamps. Jersey Stamps' website says that these stamps "feature images captured by local photographer Glen Perotte who has used his skills to showcase the miniature world of bees as extraordinary pollinators." It's a good thing to celebrate bees. They do a huge job for nature, and for us! The planet
