Here is an interesting new stamp from Croatia.
It has been designed to raise awareness of the risks of climate change. "Opasnost od poplava" means "Danger of flooding".
Design Quality – I think the design is really strong. It’s simple but still tells a story, like you can clearly see the house sinking into water and stuff floating around. The colours are kind of calm but also a bit scary, which fits the theme. It looks very modern. The road sign showing a hazard is well placed. 8/10
Theme / Subject Choice – This is not just a good theme, it's actually a really important topic. Climate change and flooding are things people hear about a lot now but sometimes we don't think about it or take it seriously enough. In Croatia there is a high risk of flooding so putting it on a stamp makes sense. It feels like they’re trying to remind people that it’s a real problem, but there are also real solutions. 9/10
Historical and Cultural Relevance – Since Croatia can get flooding, this feels very relevant. It’s not just random—it connects to what’s actually happening there. It makes the stamp feel more serious and meaningful, not just decorative. 8/10
Innovation and Creativity – I like how it shows the water rising in layers, almost like levels in a game. That’s a fun idea but also shows levels of danger rising at the same time. It’s creative without being confusing, which is good. 8/10
Collectability – I think people might want to collect this because it’s about climate change, which is a big topic. Also, the design stands out compared to more traditional stamps we often see from Croatia. 7/10
Personal Appeal – I like it because it feels like a warning but in a way that’s easy to understand. It is also designed to make you think. 7/10
Overall Score - 47/60
