Here is a reasonably new issue from Liechtenstein, showing Bergwelt Liechtenstein (Liechtenstein's Mountain World). I meant to review it a couple of weeks ago but there's been a lot happening at school. There are four stamps in the set and they show some of Liechtenstein's mountains. Liechtenstein is quite a small country but is is a very mountainous one! The stamps show very simple coloured silhouettes of the mountains but the miniature sheet shows a more realistic map and the locations of the four mountains are highlighted. Philately Liechtenstein says that these stamps "highlight the country's alpine character". Their website says that the stamps show "four striking mountains, representing the diversity of Liechtenstein's landscape from well known panoramic mountains to the highest point in the Principality. The motifs are deliberately simplified."

The four mountains are: Drei Schwestern (2052m, face value CHF 1.00). These are a famous mountain formation in Liechtenstein. They dominate the landscape in the north of the country and are a popular destination for hikers and nature lovers. Schönberg (2104m, face value CHF 1.20) rises above the Rhine Valley and offers impressive views of the Alpine panorama. While quite high it is a gentle hike to reach the top and not too challenging.

Rappenstein (2221m, face value CHF 1.90) is for climbers who want more of a challenge and is a popular destination for experienced mountaineers.

Grauspitz (2599m, face value CHF 2.50) is the highest peak in Liechtenstein.

Design Quality - These stamps look really very modern and I like that each mountain has its own color, which makes them easy to tell apart. The mountain shapes fade nicely into the white background, and the map underneath helps show where the mountains are. The whole thing feels organized and professional but perhaps not quite as exciting as it could be. 8/10

Theme/Subject Choice - Mountains are a great choice for Liechtenstein because the country is famous for its beautiful alpine scenery. It might not be as exciting as animals or castles for some collectors, but it definitely shows something important about the country. The theme works really well with the map. 9/10

Historical and Cultural Relevance - To some people these may be just mountains. But in Liechtenstein these are important mountains that are a big part of the country's identity. The map helps connect the mountain designs to real places, making it feel educational too. It teaches people about the landscape and geography of Liechtenstein. 9/10

Innovation and Creativity - I think the combination of colorful mountain silhouettes and a detailed map is pretty creative. Instead of just showing photos of mountains, the designers used a simple, modern style. It's not groundbreaking, but it definitely stands out from many traditional stamps. 7/10

Collectability - Collectors who like geography, mountains or stamps of small countries would probably enjoy this set. The stamps alone are quite good but the map presentation makes the set feel special and helps place the mountains. 7/10

Personal Appeal - I think these stamps look calm and beautiful. The different colors make them interesting to look at, and the map makes me want to explore the mountains. Overall, this is a very attractive and well-designed stamp set that does a great job showing off Liechtenstein's mountain landscape. It mixes art, geography and national pride in a way that is easy to appreciate. 8/10

Overall Score - 48/60
